Figurative painting of Todd, Auto Mechanic

The first time I met Todd he came flying down the street in a chopped model “A” sedan with a big chev. engine and oversize tires. He had the doors welded shut so the only way in and out was through the slips of the door windows. Not the best of safety features. The car was rust and prime that was then waxed. His dog(spot) and a sweet pit bull posed for the original photo that I worked from to paint, But the dog did not want to sit for the final shot of them both with the painting.
